Your Daily Store (YDS) Partners with enspire on E-Commerce for Entrepreneurs

enspire and Your Daily Store (YDS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide a series of trainings on “ecommerce for entrepreneurs”. The training series will focus on the practical steps in planning, setup and management of an ecommerce store based on the YDS experience. 

According to a McKinsey’s Lions go digital report, online shopping in Africa is projected to account for up to 10% of retail sales, estimated around US $75 billion by 2025. With the growth of digital access in Nigeria, Enspire is collaborating with partners in developing capacity for the digital economy, which creates opportunities for technology adaptive entrepreneurship in the country.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Abuja, Nigeria on 16th October 2019 by the co founder of YDS Surayyah Ahmed and Ibrahim Bashir of enspire. The collaboration will bring enspire’s expertise in startup capacity development from ideation, incubation and mentorship with the business experience of YDS in the ecommerce space in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

According to Surayyah Ahmed, “we went through so many challenges setting up YDS and if we had someone to guide us, it would have saved us so much time and money. It is our strong belief that when entrepreneurs are given the opportunity, they can excel in any environment.”

The first training is scheduled to hold in November 2019 with registration expected to open at the end of October.

Enspire has expanded its operations to a new location in the city of Abuja comprising of various facilities and a training room that seats up to 70 persons. The facility will enable the partners to facilitate sessions on ecommerce for entrepreneurs both physically and via teleconferencing.
